About R134A
As a pure substance, R134A has no temperature glide and can be charged as vapour or liquid. It operates at moderate pressures and is used with POE oils in stationary systems and PAG oils in automotive air conditioning. Under the EU MAC Directive, new passenger cars use refrigerants with a GWP below 150, while R134A remains widely used for servicing existing vehicles and in stationary equipment.
Storage and handling
Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources (below 50 °C). Always read the safety data sheet before use.
This refrigerant is a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by Regulation (EU) 2024/573. Installation, servicing and recovery must be carried out by appropriately certified personnel.
