R32
R32 (difluoromethane) is a single-component HFC refrigerant and the modern choice for residential split air conditioners and air-source heat pumps. With a GWP about one third of that of R410A and excellent thermodynamic properties, it allows efficient systems with smaller refrigerant charges.

About R32
R32 is classified as mildly flammable (ASHRAE safety group A2L). Installation and servicing must follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and applicable standards such as EN 378, using tools and recovery equipment suitable for A2L refrigerants. As a pure substance it has no temperature glide.
Storage and handling
Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources (below 50 °C). Always read the safety data sheet before use.
R32 is flammable – keep cylinders away from heat and sources of ignition and read the safety data sheet before use. This refrigerant is a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by Regulation (EU) 2024/573. Installation, servicing and recovery must be carried out by appropriately certified personnel.
