Refrigerant
R407C
R407C is a non-flammable HFC blend of R32, R125 and R134a designed for air conditioning and heat pumps. Its pressures and cooling capacity are close to those of R22, which makes it a popular choice both for new equipment and for replacing R22 in existing systems.
Main applications
- Air conditioning systems
- Heat pumps
- Medium temperature refrigeration
- Chillers and packaged units
Key benefits
- Zero ozone depletion
- High energy efficiency
- R22 compatible replacement

About R407C
R407C is a zeotropic blend with a temperature glide of about 7 K, so systems must always be charged with liquid refrigerant from the cylinder. When retrofitting from R22, the mineral oil must be replaced with polyolester (POE) oil and the system settings checked.
Storage and handling
Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources (below 50 °C). Always read the safety data sheet before use.
This refrigerant is a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by Regulation (EU) 2024/573. Installation, servicing and recovery must be carried out by appropriately certified personnel.
