Refrigerant
R410A
R410A is a near-azeotropic blend of R32 and R125 and has been the standard refrigerant in residential and commercial split air conditioners and heat pumps for many years. It works at higher pressures than R22, giving high capacity and compact equipment.
Main applications
- Residential air conditioning
- Heat pumps
- Commercial air conditioning
- Split, multi-split and VRF systems
Key benefits
- Zero ozone depletion
- High energy efficiency
- Reliable performance

About R410A
Because its operating pressures are about 1.6 times higher than those of R22, R410A may only be used in equipment designed for it, with suitable gauges and hoses. Its temperature glide is negligible, but as a blend it should be charged in the liquid phase. POE lubricant is used.
Storage and handling
Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources (below 50 °C). Always read the safety data sheet before use.
This refrigerant is a fluorinated greenhouse gas covered by Regulation (EU) 2024/573. Installation, servicing and recovery must be carried out by appropriately certified personnel.
